Accessibility Solutions for Columbus Residents & Businesses
Ohio's capital city is one of the fastest-growing metros in the Midwest, yet much of its most desirable housing sits in neighborhoods built long before accessible design was standard practice. From the narrow Victorian townhomes of German Village to the tree-lined streets of Clintonville, Columbus homeowners increasingly seek ways to age in place without sacrificing the character of their homes. Messer & Co. brings the same hands-on craftsmanship to Columbus that our Clark County neighbors already trust.
German Village presents a particular challenge we enjoy solving: its brick row houses often have steep front stoops and tight interior stairways, so we design compact folding ramps and slim-profile stair lifts that preserve the historic aesthetic. In the Short North and Victorian Village, we frequently install exterior ramp systems for multi-unit buildings where landlords want every floor accessible. The Grandview Heights and Upper Arlington border areas feature split-level homes from the 1950s and 60s — perfect candidates for platform lifts that bridge half-flight level changes. Families near Nationwide Children's Hospital and the OSU Wexner Medical Center campus often need rapid-turnaround installations for children or adults returning home after surgery, and we prioritize those time-sensitive projects. Over in Clintonville, the classic Cape Cod and Colonial Revival homes respond well to our modular ramp systems that can be reconfigured if needs change.
Columbus projects are coordinated through dedicated scheduling blocks so our crews can handle multiple installations per trip, keeping your costs competitive despite the distance from our shop.
Beyond Columbus proper, we serve Westerville, Dublin, Hilliard, Grove City, Reynoldsburg, and communities throughout Franklin County. If you are within the I-270 outerbelt or just beyond it, we are happy to schedule a visit.
