Accessibility Solutions for Beavercreek Residents & Businesses
Beavercreek sits at the doorstep of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and its population reflects that proximity — active-duty families, civilian defense workers, and a significant community of retired military personnel all call this Greene County city home. Messer & Co. has deep experience with the accessibility needs that come with service-related injuries, VA home-modification grants, and the aging-in-place goals of veterans who have earned the right to stay in the neighborhoods they chose.
Many Beavercreek subdivisions were built from the 1980s onward, which means wider hallways and attached garages that simplify ramp routing compared to older housing stock. In the newer developments near The Greene Town Center, two-story floor plans with upstairs master suites are common — stair lifts and sometimes residential elevators allow homeowners to keep using the entire home after a knee or hip procedure. We regularly assist military families navigating the VA's Specially Adapted Housing (SAH) and Special Housing Adaptation (SHA) grant programs, handling the documentation and specifications the VA requires. For veterans in the established neighborhoods closer to the base's Gate 12, we install bathroom grab bars, roll-in showers, and threshold ramps that meet both VA standards and local building codes. The community's strong network of veterans' service organizations often refers members to us when accessibility needs arise.
We are experienced with VA Specially Adapted Housing paperwork and can guide you through the grant application process while planning your modifications — so approvals and construction stay on the same timeline.
Our Beavercreek service area extends into Fairborn, Xenia, Bellbrook, Sugarcreek Township, and the surrounding Greene County communities. Wright-Patterson personnel living off-base in any direction are within easy reach.
